Keri Forbes
BSc (Hons) CertMRCSLT Speech and Language Therapist
Keri qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2018. Since then, she has gained a wide range of experience working as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist across early years settings, primary mainstream schools and special schools. Keri has worked with children and young people with a variety of communication difficulties including speech sound disorders, stammering, Developmental Language Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and emotional regulation difficulties.
Keri has completed certified training in:
* Team Teach (Positive Behaviour Management) and MAPA
* Makaton Level 1
* Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
* Palin Parent Child Interaction (PCI) for Stammering
Keri has completed informal training in:
* Colourful Semantics
* Lego-Based Therapy
* Shape Coding
* Using High Tech AAC
Keri has a particular interest in working with children and young people with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and those with social communication and emotional regulation difficulties.
She is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
